What is meta-iPod

meta-iPod software is designed for users who are looking to polish up an iTunes library which has, over time or due to an incident, become filled with track idiosyncrasies. From just the ratings and play counts to entire files or folders gone missing, meta-iPod analyzes all data sources containing your music to put the pieces of the puzzle back together. The entire description is taken from mypodapps.com

Right we will list only the features available to this software :

- Automatically track down tracks with no location (!) in iTunes.

- Every track has (well, should have) a Name, Artist and Album label. These labels are kept both in the iTunes Music Library database and on the track files themselves (ie: song.mp3). By comparing these two labels to each other, meta-iPod can tells you if your tracks are mismatched which could indicate that your track has the wrong label.

- After finding mismatched tracks, meta-iPod lets you fix them quickly by selecting the appropriate labels.

- Did you transfer music from your iPod to your computer and you lost your ratings and labels? Or did you rate a track on your iPod and can't get that rating into iTunes? The Better Metadata feature chooses which play count or ratings are most up to date and applies that to iTunes.

- iPod Only Tracks are tracks that are on your iPod, but not found in iTunes. This feature lets you quickly and easily transfer tracks from your iPod into iTunes, without having to use a .txt file.

- By transferring tracks using this feature you will also keep your ratings and play counts.

- Want to recover a playlist from your iPod? This feature lets you transfer a playlist from your iPod to iTunes.

- The playlist transfer will automatically determine if the tracks are in iTunes or not. If they're not in iTunes, they will be transferred, then added to the playlist.

- Got album art? This feature automatically picks out the tracks from iTunes with no album art.

- Double-click a track and a search is automatically started for that tracks art.

- Once you select the image you like, double click it and it will be automatically added to your track and (optional) all tracks with the same album name.
