If you are not familiar with mIRC, it may appear a little weird to a person that use this application for years. At a first look it may be seen as a complicate application but you will love it in a very short time. That's because Internet Relay Chat doesn't have the popularity of mIRC for example although there are very similar if you are looking at them from a different angle. The same purpose of communicating with friends, people reunites the chat applications. For example mIRC is more popular then many chat programs but like Yahoo Messenger and others, mIRC is different just because it's not displaying annoying ads, sure, mIRC is a shareware application. A few words about Internet Relay Chat ( IRC ) network. The IRC network ( like all applications used for communications over the Internet ) is a virtual meeting place where you can talk with your friends in private or with all of them or you can meet new people ( virtually speaking ). Probably one of the most loved feature ( for other most hated one ) is that you can create your own channel. On a channel you can allow only your friends to speak, you can banish people for a good reason, you can limit it only to your friends, that means no one can enter besides them and so on. It has a lot of features and it is my favourite chat application on Windows.
