The best way to rip a cd, convert audio files and burn a cd or a dvd
Recently I was searching on the Internet for a lightweight version of Nero, the well known CD/DVD burner. It was a good CD/DVD burner and it is now but the main reason for not listing this popular software was his current size. For example, "The installer of Lite edition is only 60MB as opposed to full version setup which weights around 200MB", well right now it has almost 400 MB. If you can call a lightweight version that has 60 MB then probably Nero was designed only for people that has a lot of money and for those that lives only in rich countries with powerful Internet connections. I really think that programs should be smaller, efficient and easy to use. I am talking here about a program that is able to burn all kind of files on a CD/DVD and probably on 99.9 % most of us would want to burn either their music, video files or any other data files. The best software for burning your files on a CD/DVD is Easy CD-DA Extractor a small but a powerful program with a lot of features. First of all you will need to download Easy CD-DA Extractor from here and I will show you how to install it and I will try to explain the main features of this application. Let's get started, after you have downloaded the trial version make sure to locate the executable files and make sure to open it. You should see the "Easy CD-DA Extractor Setup" window, make sure to click on the "Next" button :

The second window will already ask you about the installation folder. The default installation folder is "C:\Program Files\Easy CD-DA Extractor 12" ( where 12 is the number of the current version, this number could be other if you will use a newer version ). If you want to change the installation folder make sure to click on "Change" button. Click on the "Next" button to continue with the installation :

This window will present you some options to choose from ( at version 12 there is only one option that can be enabled or disabled ) so I suggest you to leave this option checked and click on the "Next" button ( the installation will start and finish in a couple of seconds ):

If the installation completed successfully you should see the following window, which tells you that "The Easy CD-DA Extractor 12.0 installation is complete." Make sure to click on the "Finish" button.

You should see a small window called "Reminder" after the installation has finished. You will need to wait for 5 seconds and then to press on the "OK" button for starting the program :
Thank you for trying Easy CD-DA Extractor!

The program has started and it will be fully functional for a period of 30 days. As you can see in the following picture, this program is easy to use but it does have a lot of other options that makes him a powerful program. We are going to comment here the most important features and those are the "Audio CD Ripper", "Audio Converter" and the "CD/DVD Creator".

Let's take the first feature integrated in this application, the one called Audio CD Ripper. As the name suggests, if you are going to use this feature you will be able to rip audio CDs to an audio format ( you can choose from 22 available audio formats ) and also to bypass audio CD copy-protections, edit or automatically fill metadata with Cover Art support, read CD-text etc. In order to test this function I have inserted a .WMA disc in my CD/DVD ROM you can see this in the following image :

As you can see, all the tracks from this CD can be edited ( for example I edited the first song - Akon Feat. Eminem and with the title "Smack That" ) and also you can choose an output format from the small integrated option located down in the left corner. You can also specify the folder to where you want to save the new files ( output folder ). There are many other options but those are the most important ones. As you can see I will click on "Rip CD" and the ripping process will start, check out the following image :

The entire extracting process has ended and you may now press the "Close" button. The files ripped from the CD will be available in the folder to where you specified ( output folder ). Now let's move on and see the second main feature called "Audio Converter". As you can see, this one is really simple, all you need to do here is to navigate to the folder to where your audio files exists and then to drag them with your mouse over the space that says "Drag audio files and folders here" and then to select an output format ( you can choose from 23 available audio formats ) and an output folder to save the new audio files under the new audio format. If everything is done right you can click on the "Convert Files" button and your audio files are going to be converted on a new audio format.

Finally, this is really more simple to use then any other feature. As you can see all you need to do is to navigate to a folder to where you have your audio, video or simple data files and then to drag them with your mouse ( drag the entire folder or one by one ) over the big, red text called "Drag audio files and folders here". Supposing that you are going to create an audio CD, select the first option called "Audio CD". Now you may want to select the writing speed, a different recorder ( if you have more than one ) or choose to give a name to this CD ( to do so click on the "CD-Text" feature near "Create Audio CD" option. When you are ready click on the "Burn Audio CD" and the burning process will start.

As a final conclusion, we really think that this is the best way to rip a cd, convert audio files and burn a cd or a dvd. Let's analyse this program from a financial perspective. Let's suppose that you want a program that is able to rip a cd, you will have to search on the Internet for such an application and it's highly possible to pay a small fee for a full version. Let's suppose that you need to convert an audio file from one format to another one, again you need to pay some money for such a program. Finally you need to burn a CD/DVD with audio files, video files or any other data, you definetely need to pay for a license. It's like getting 3 programs in one with free lifetime upgrades so it's good to know that such a program really exists.
