How to install Firefox browser

 

I am sure that each user especially Windows users when interact with Internet technology and starts to gain some experience wants in a way or another to customize their system. Nowadays we have a large variety of browsers and we will reffer here only to the installation process. If you are not satisfied about your current browser and you've heard about Mozilla Firefox browser I am going to show you how to install Firefox browser on your PC. So it's going to become your default browser replacing Internet Explorer. It will not delete Internet Explorer but it will make all of your files to open with Firefox. Before starting, you will have to obtain your copy so you can download Firefox here. Make sure to remember the path to where you saved your copy and open it. It should appear a small window, make sure to click on the "Run" button.

 

 

Here it is, the "Mozilla Firefox Setup" window that welcomes you to the installation of Mozilla Firefox. Click "Next" button to continue.

 

 

It's time to choose setup options, we are going to choose the setup type and then to click on "Next" button. So I will leave it as it is "Standard". It's important to make sure that the small box called "Use Firefox as my default web browser" to be checked as it's going to make Firefox your primary browser.

 

 

What's curious here is the path of the location to where we will install Firefox. As you may noticed you cannot install the browser to other location than "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox". If you preffer to install it in another location on your computer you have to click "Back" and choose the "Custom" installation type. If you want to continue with the installation click on the "Install" button and the program will start to install.

 

 

You should see the "Completing the Mozilla Firefox Setup Wizard" window which tells us that the installation is complete. Now it's time to configure Firefox before launching it. Make sure to check "Launch Firefox now" and click on the "Finish" button.

 

 

First window will ask you to "Import Settings and Data" so if you want to import your favorites pages or anything else make sure that the first option is checked "Microsoft Internet Explorer" and click on "Next" button.

 

 

If you want to start Firefox with the same website that was used on Internet Explorer make sure to select here the second option, the one called "Import your home page from Internet Explorer" and click on the "Next" button to continue.

 

 

You should now see a new window confirming the success of the "Import Wizard". Click on the "Finish" button to close this window and you should see Firefox launching for the first time.

 

 

Your new browser should start and you should see a window with a "Welcome to Firefox" message. Don't worry this window should appear only for the first time and next time using your imported prefferences from Internet Explorer.
