eMule is another popular peer to peer file sharing software for Windows. This file sharing software will connect to eDonkey and Kad networks in order to allow you to download all kinds of files from the Internet. This software is constantly being released since 2002 ( released as a free file sharing software for Windows under the GNU General Public Licence ) and it was replacing innitially the original eDonkey2000 client. Being a popular free file sharing software for Windows, many people contributed to this project and the network services got more and more efficient with every new version of eMule. Coming with the latest version of eMule, the most problems with Windows Vista has been fixed, spam filters for searches has been added, some unspecified bugs and errors has been fixed and it includes several graphic interface improvements.

eMule is an excellent free file sharing software for Windows and he should be a must have P2P software on your Windows computer. If you are skeptical in using eMule and don't know for sure what this program can do, it's enough to say that with this free file sharing software you can download all most all types of files and content from the Internet. It's so good that it can be successfully installed on Windows 95 and almost on all user home based Windows versions until Windows Vista. I was able to use it without any advanced skills. Actually all I did was to download eMule, install it and then I updated my server list. After I updated this P2P free software I was able to connect successfully to a server by pressing the "Connect button" in the eMule main menu. After this all I had to do was to search for files that I wanted to download. Then double click on the file that you wish to download and eMule will start to download.
Other notes :
eMule received many positive reviews, it's free and it didn't contained any form of spyware or adware. No issues with this file sharing program, runs smoothly on Windows. So everything it's working great. It isn't that simple. Since it allows you to download almost all supported types of files I would highly recommend you to install security tools on your computer. The chances for infecting your computer is very high when using any file sharing program ( P2P ) for Windows, not only eMule. So, installing a good antivirus and a very good anti-spyware application is a very clever thing to do nowadays.
