Introduction
DownloadBestSoft was established in 2007 and initially provided a limited collection of both shareware and freeware (including Open Source) software. We recently checked our stats data and we had over 10.000.000 unique visitors starting with August 2007. Right now (June 2013), we serve around 25.000 unique visits each day spread on multiple download servers.
Why choose us
The number of download-related websites is overwhelming and you might ask yourself: why should you choose us? Here's why:
- We HATE and we DO NOT use installers, bundles, pop-ups or any other crap BUT we have no control on what other people are doing with their projects. If a project decides to bundle their software, it's their own choice. More and more projects are doing this, we're not happy with it but we can't influence their decision. What we can do is to warn our users so make sure that you actually look for warnings. If we miss one project, feel free to inform us - use the contact form.
- The download starts right-away when you press the download, there's no further redirection
- We buy/add more servers (bandwidth, CPU, RAM) as we grow. We do not look for profits but rather for quality. If you experience a slow download it could be due to fact that you're located in another part of the world. Our servers are located in USA so the people from North America continent should experience the fastest download speed. We tested the download speed several times in multiple locations from Europe (France, Germany and Portugal) and the download speed is more than decent.
- We run only 1 block of Ads / pages that contains articles and software downloads. We DO NOT run ads on our main page or category pages.
- We test all the software listed here: regular setup and antivirus scan (for Windows files) applies to each new program .
- Spread the word, encourage more people to use us and we will add more open source and free, clean software.
