What is WinAutomation

 

WinAutomation as the name suggests is a powerful Windows Automation software that will help you to automate any repetitive tasks on your computer. It is an advanced tool that will make your life easier. If you need to backup files using FTP, take screen shots, send email, communicate with databases, this software is everything you need. You are limited only by your imagination as this program comes with a lot of features such as the "Visual Job Designer", "Macro Recorder" and "Job Compiler" available to professional edition.

 

WinAutomation review

 

If it's going to be the first time when you are using this software I am sure that you will be impressed. If you're job requires you to do the same boring thing on each day then this is the software that will replace you from doing something that you don't like. Here's an example from the real life, my girlfriend works as a PR ( Public Relations ) and I noticed that she always opens a list of websites with 20 press release agencies from which she needs to extract each article related to "education". If she must repeat the same action on each day, it would make her loose at least 5 minutes from her life. Sure, it's not so much but do the math for one week, month or a whole year and you will see that she can loose 2-3 days/year. So, here is the solution the magic program called WinAutomation. I opened WinAutomation and use the "Macro Recorder" feature to start recording her daily activity. I saved the job and then I used the "Compile to Exe" feature in order to create an exe file that will run on her computer. This way she doesn't have to run the job from WinAutomation Console. Running the exe file will open all 20 press release websites without having to repeat the same task daily. Another example, we all know that when you want to create a backup for your website, the best thing to do is to have a backup on your computer in case that something goes wrong with your hosting provider. It is a pleasure for me to do the same boring thing each week in every day. Again, WinAutomation can access a specified FTP account and it can perform the same actions like you did before but this time completely automated. As you may noticed, WinAutomation has more than 130 versatile and powerful predefined actions that act as building blocks for your tasks so I could write at least 130 examples. Honestly, if you can think at all possible scenarios, this software can help you to automate thousands or even more daily tasks. Like every other good software, you will have to purchase a professional licence in order to be able to compile .exe applications.

Please note that this program is not free, it comes with a 30 days functional trial. There are several free solutions but you will have to learn and understand more complex things and normally this will require some additional time. It's like comparing Linux with Windows, sure Linux will do the same job for free but you need to learn additional stuffs and unless you're an expert, Windows is the way to go even if you have to purchase a licence. I have tested WinAutomation on a PC running Windows XP SP3. One of the best part at this software is the great support.
