Webroot Spy Sweeper runs great on Microsoft Windows Vista and it's easy to use and to understand even by beginners. However you should uninstall other third party antiviruses before installing this program. Actually most of these measures should be applied when installing almost all types of anti-spyware software. If there is another one it would be better to uninstall it. I can't rate this software at its best since this anti-spyware tool comes with a trial period that detects me the infections but it doesn't removes them unless I am buying the program. He detected me some kind of infections and I think it's efficient but I personally don't like this type of trial. Why is this limitation, if it's a good anti-spyware and fully functional for a period of 30 days I am going to buy it after the trial period or even before it ends. Why is this limitation ? I have no ideea but I personally hate it. It's not only at this software. I have seen it at many others. In conclusion, I would recommend you to download Webroot Spy Sweeper, install it, test it and if it suits your needs, buy it.

More than technical issues this application seems to be a resource hog for many users. A lot of users are complaining. A part of them claims that there are better choices then Spy Sweeper. The scanning time seems to take a lot although this isn't a relevant issue or a technical problem. That depends on how many space is used on your hard drive, the power of your computer and if there is an infection. For example a scan time would be 10 times shorter when Webroot Spy Sweeper needs to scan a 40 GB HDD. Imagine what happens with a 400 GB HDD or a terrabyte hard drive. The necessary amount of time to scan your computer for infections would be 20 times bigger than on a small computer hard drive. However, when I tested this program I saw that he runs better on Microsoft Windows Vista compared to Microsoft Windows XP. Probably it was my personal impression only, I guess it depends again on a lot of other factors. You should test it yourself and used it in the future or not.
