As the name suggests, Password Safe is a simple and secure password management application that is available for free under an Open Source approved license. This tiny application can help you to create and store usernames and passwords. You will need to remember only one password, called "Master Password" that will allow you to unlock your entire collection of usernames and passwords. The entire setup process will take you a couple of seconds and you won't need a manual to learn how to use this program. Sure, it does have several options that allows you to customize this application but those are useful after you will get used a little bit more with Password Safe. Password Safe has been scanned for viruses, malware and you can download and install the current version listed on this page, everything is clean. This application is not using a lot of RAM memory, as we can see it's currently using only 1 MB of RAM which makes this program excellent to run on older computers. Probably there are some bugs but most of them are being fixed with every new version. We have tested this program on a computer running Windows XP SP 3 and it worked excellent.
