3. BSPlayer - A program that is able to play most of the movies in many formats, when the proper codec packs are correctly installed. This is an older version that still runs great on Microsoft Windows XP and older versions like 95, 98, Me, 2000 etc. Being an older BSPlayer applications it doesn't have all the features that newer paid versions have but it should be very useful since it remained a freeware version of BSPlayer. As soon as new and free versions of BSPlayer will be released ( without adware or anything similar ) we will be honored to list them.


4. iPodRip - Dedicated to recovery, this is probably the best program able to recover your lost files from your iPod's. It should work with all iPod models and it can be installed on Mac OS and also on Microsoft Windows XP or Vista. You cannot say much about this program excepting the fact that is only one word that is synonym with iPodRip, and that is "recovery". It has millions of downloads since his first released date in 2003 and it solved the recovery problems of millions of people. It deserves his place on this list an we are waiting for future versions that will add more functionality and improvements, if possible.


5. LimeWire - I think there are millions of people that tried LimeWire, with this program you can search for music, movies, photos and many more files. The best part is that the new version of LimeWire comes with an improved firewall support that is able to deal with problems that limited the access of this program on the Internet. It is a nice file-sharing software that will help you to find what you're looking for, we are considering it a must have application, if not installed on your computer at least, to exist on your computer just in case you need something and you want it installed at a later time.


6. Torrent Swapper - This torrent client is another bittorrent client that is able to handle a lot of torrents files. It offers support for simultaneous downloads, download queue, selected downloads in torrent package, fast-resume, disk cache, speed limits, port mapping, proxy, ip-filter, etc. The bad part at this client is the release date. There are no new versions released but that could be an explanation for an Open Source quality software. The latest date when this program was update is August 10, 2006. We hope that a new version of Torrent Swapper will be released.


7. GOM Media Player - My favourite media player, it is free, extremely stable and in a good combination with K-Lite Codec Pack it is able to play movies and multimedia files that others great programs fails. What can you say about a program that is almost perfect. For me, the older version runs great on Windows XP and the new ones adds more and more improvements. It is a great example of an free and high quality media player. There is no other media players like GOM Media Player that is able to have all of these features, again at a free multimedia player, you just need to have the right codecs installed.


8. SpyBot Search & Destroy - Don't know why but untill one week ago I used to use another malware program when I needed to scan my computer for offensive tracking cookies, worms or other malware crap. Each time I was doing a second scan with SpyBot Search & Destroy, always detected other hidden things. Now I am using this program to scan my computer first because I know that I can count on it. His detection rates has improved with the new versions and I fell in love with SpyBot Search & Destroy when he removed my a form of malware that infected my PC. If you're not convinced besides a good antivirus this is a must have installed anti malware program.


9. Kaspersky Antivirus - How could I rate this antivirus at this real value. I love this antivirus and yes I don't use a security suite, I just use a router and the Microsoft Windows XP firewall to block intruders besided of Kaspersky Antivirus that needs to keep me protected against virus infections. I just want to say that I am using it for years now and it worked great for me, not a single virus infection in years. I guess I don't feel the need to move on to another antivirus product and yes I've tested a lot of antivirus programs before discovering this one. The best part is the setup process, if it's setup well it can protect your computer at the best level.


10. uTorrent - If you want the best torrent client, the smallest torrent client, the fastest one, then look no further, this is the best torrent software that I ever saw, it is small, not small...it is tiny and even a kid could use it, yes it's that simple and his name is uTorrent. I know what pain brings us some programs when our eyes are rolling on hundreds of options. You need a manual and days to learn "what that button do and that one, and that one". No sir, not with this program. Login on your website tracker or search on your search engine your torrent file, download it and open it, it will automatically open in uTorrent and start to download on your selected locations.
