What is Media Player Classic Home Cinema

 

Media Player Classic - is one of the best players based on the original "Media Player Classic" created by an author named "Gabest". It was made as an closed-source software and later it was developed as free software ( open-source ). In 2006, the author stopped working at this project from SourceForge. Now it's being released under the terms of the GNU General Public License and it's being developed and improved under the name of "Media Player Classic - Home Cinema". The authors claims that this is the fastest media player that works on both x64 and x32, has subtitles support and comes with built-in video and audio codecs. Being a free media player you should have it on your media players collection.

Probably one of the best media players if you are going to ask me. After searching on the Internet for "best media players" I remember that I read an article that mentioned this player. I was sure that I have this player listed on this web site but I was wrong. I was convinced and I realized that I always installed this player when I was installing K-Lite-Codec Pack. Since not all of us are using K-Lite Codec Pack as their main codecs and use different ones combined with other players, I have decided to list Media Player Classic - on this page. I wish I could say more but this is an excellent media player, better than a lot of shareware ones. Basically here are all the video, audio and image file formats that you will be able to play using this player : WAV, WMA, MP3, OGG, SND, AU, AIF, AIFC, AIFF, MIDI, MPEG, MPG, MP2, VOB, AC3, DTS, ASX, M3U, PLS, WAX, ASF, WM, WMA, WMV, AVI, CDA, JPEG, JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, D2V, MP4, SWF, MOV, QT, FLV. Other features such as support for subtitles, anti-tearing, EVR ( Enhanced Video Renderer ), recording and playback of TV is supported if you have a TV tunner installed, minidump creation when MPC HC crashes, OSD ( On Screen Display ), multi-monitor configuration and a lot of other features are available.
