Being a fork of LimeWire, FrostWire is based on the same source code and it has the same functions so if you want to try this Bittorrent/Gnutella client, it will be easy to install and use it if you used LimeWire before FrostWire. When you will use the search option and search for a file, the results will be the same if you were using LimeWire and the same results when you will use FrostWire. The source code may be identical ( almost ) but the main differences that I observed between those two programs can be the interface that has changed from green color to blue color ( interface has some new improvements ) the tabs are now rounded at their corners, a built in community with you can chat anytime and many other features that you will discover.Some users have experienced faster downloads when they used FrostWire ( compared with LimeWire ) while others encountered slower download times.
In other words, in my opinion, besides all of this small differences between them, I think that FrostWire ( when compared with LimeWire ) offers the same options like LimeWire PRO version has to offer. So, the difference is simple - FrostWire has the same features like LimeWire PRO but FrostWire offers you the features for FREE and LimeWire PRO for a small amount of money.
